POSITION SUMMARY:
Provides designs, with engineering assistance, for products related to the company’s activities, as directed by the Equipment Engineering Director.  Creates and manages models and drawings.

   DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES: 

  • Uphold Shell’s Life Saving Rules and uphold Pipestream’s Health and Safety Policy at all times.
  • Creates and manages, with engineering assistance, mechanical and electrical models and drawings within SolidWorks.
  • Implements and manages design change system within SolidWorks PDM.
  • Supports existing products through design improvements, provision and maintenance of technical information.
  • Contributes to the generation of mechanical design concepts.
  • Participates in the design review process.
  • Provides product support and other technical support to operational functions in the most efficient manner for all concerned
  • Contributes to the effectiveness of the Company’s internal systems; increasing efficiency and reducing administrative overhead.

EDUCATION/SPECIAL SKILLS REQUIRED:
Minimum Qualifications: High school diploma or GED.   Bachelor’s degree preferred, but not required.
2 to 5 years Design/Drafting Experience,  2+ years 3d Solid Modeling (Pro/e WF 4.0/5.0).  Experience in creating drawings using the Pro/e detailing module. Experience with machined, tight tolerance parts.  Knowledge of various manufacturing methods.   Professional qualification related to design software (SolidWorks) an advantage.

POSITION SUMMARY:
Will be responsible for assisting factory manager, engineers and other mechanical technicians in construction and validation of new pipe building equipment.  Retrofits of existing equipment and operation of equipment in house and in the field. Work with electrical techs to assist with daily activities.

  DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Fabricate, machine, and assemble systems and machinery according to engineering data and knowledge of mechanical principles, using machine tools, hand tools and measuring instruments
  • Provide technical assistance and resolution when engineering problems are encountered before, during, and after construction
  • Build, calibrate, maintain, troubleshoot and repair machinery or testing equipment
  • Collaborate with engineers and other personnel to identify, define, and solve developmental problems.
  • Conduct inspections for quality control and assurance programs, reporting findings and recommendations.
  • Direct and oversee contractors
  • Perform factory acceptance testing
  • Plan method and sequence of operations for developing and testing experimental equipment.
  • Analyze and interpret test information to resolve design-related problems

POSITION SUMMARY:
The role of the Project Manager is to plan, execute, and finalize projects according to deadlines and within budget. This includes acquiring resources and coordinating the efforts of team members and third-party contractors or consultants in order to deliver projects according to plan. Define the project’s objectives and oversee quality control throughout its life cycle.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Responsible for active HSE leadership for project teams on customers’ sites, and for the evaluation and mitigation/elimination of HSE related risks for each project.
  • Responsible for meeting or exceeding the quality requirements of each project, and for raising then addressing nonconformance’s (without exception) to ensure proper long term performance of the pipelines we rehabilitate or construct.  Also responsible for oversight of recordkeeping to ensure complete traceability for materials used in execution of the project that become a permanent component of the pipeline.
  • Responsible for managing, coordinating and administering the Pipestream project management program. Responsible for planning and execution of all projects from the conceptual stages through field activities (XHab or XPipe), and contract close out.  
  • Responsible for assisting Business Development in project acquisition activities including estimating, reviewing contracts, establishing schedules, coordinating interfaces with  partner, prime or subcontractors, and clearly defining Pipestream’s scope and responsibilities.
  • Responsible for development of project budgets and schedules and then establishing execution plans to meet required budget and schedule. 
  • Responsible for monitoring project program, budgets and for initiating actions to correct schedules and/or budget anomalies.
  • Responsible for timely mobilization of personnel, equipment, materials, supplies/consumables and all other items necessary for uninterrupted project execution.
  • Is the primary Pipestream representative on multiple project execution and is responsible for resolving problems and managing the project turnover to the client.
  • Responsible for formula of SE plans, performance and oversight execution of field crews on site.
  • Responsible for managing the variation order process for each project and ensuring the Company receives compensation for all work performed outside of the contract scope.
  • Responsible for managing HR/personnel issues on site (with support from the home office as needed) in accordance with applicable labor laws.  Responsible for motivating field crews to work safely, efficiently, and professionally.  

  JOB DIMENSIONS:

  • Reports to and receives technical and operational guidance from the Chief Operating Officer.
  • Provides project execution input to Pipestream organization and project direction for specific projects.
  • Principal contact for client and Pipestream personnel involving field construction projects from preparatory activities leading up to construction and throughout contract close-out.
  • Maintain management level relationships with the clients, regulators and other participating entities on projects.

PRINCIPLE RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Responsible for providing project execution input to R&D personnel during technical development of various Pipestream technologies.
  • Responsible for leading Pipestream project team and ensuring project completion within budget and ensure schedule is in conformance with required specifications.
  • Responsible for supporting the ITT bid preparation, including providing input for estimating activities, reviewing contractual documents/data, , establishing schedules and budgets for contract obligations, and for signing off on operational inputs for each significant bid (as determined by approval matrix).
  • Initiates and directs the planning and development of the project scope, procedures, budget and schedule.
  • Reviews and approves all purchase orders, change orders and contracts/sub-contracts related to the project.
  • Responsible for primary project correspondence with client and coordinating other communication with client as required.
  • Responsible for controlling, monitoring and reporting project cost and schedule against approved budgets and forecasts. 
  • Prior to and during project execution coordinate with other client contractors at job site to ensure all project objectives are met.
  • Develops a specific project execution plan (PEP) for every project.
  • Manages the contract for each project, ensuring all requirements are met and ensuring prompt payment, no undue retention of payment, and mitigation of other commercial risks.  Areas of potential exposure should be communicated to Pipestream’s senior management as early as possible.

EDUCATION/ SKILLS REQUIRED:
Minimum Qualification: High School Diploma or GED, Bachelor Engineering Degree preferred (mechanical or civil). Minimum of 10 years of experience in design and construction of hydrocarbon pipeline. Significant project management experience. Familiar with codes and standards applicable to hydrocarbon pipe. E.g. B-31.8/31.4 and 49 CFR parts 192/195 and other PHMSA requirements.
